  1:I Help a Foreigner

  Yesterday, I went to a region to buy train tickets. When I was about to leave, I saw a foreigner come in. I thought he could speak Chinese, but then I knew he met some troubles.   2:I Like Vegetables

  Many of my friends do not like eating vegetables, because they think that vegetables are not delicious. They like KFC or Mcdonald's. Being different to them, I like vegetables very much. When I was a little child, my mother told me that I should eat more vegetables, so that I can be tall. Besides, in order to make me eat, my mother often gave me some rewards. As time goes by, vegetables become my favorite. Vegetables contain many essential vitamins and other nutrients, which helps us build a healthy body. In addition, eating more vegetables can prevent diseases. Therefore, we should have the good habit to eat vegetables.

  我很多朋友都不喜歡吃蔬菜,因為他們覺得蔬菜不好吃。他們喜歡吃肯德基或者麥當勞。我和他們不一樣,我很喜歡吃蔬菜。當我還是個小孩的時候,我媽媽就告訴我應該多吃蔬菜,那樣我才能長高。而且,為了讓我吃蔬菜,我媽媽經常給我一些獎勵。時間久了,蔬菜就成了我喜歡吃的。蔬菜含有很多有助於身體健康的必需維生素和其他營養。另外,多吃蔬菜能夠預防疾病。因此,我們應該養成吃蔬菜的習慣。

  3:Stress in life

  As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down. Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society.

  每個人都知道,壓力是日常生活中的自然部分,我們沒有辦法避開它。隨著現代生活步伐的不斷加快,我們總是感覺從早到晚忙個不停,並且很難停下來。因此,在競爭的社會裡壓力總是與生活相伴。

  Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the opinion that a certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one’s mental decline and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body.

  然而,不同的人對壓力的想法截然不同。有的人相信壓力並不像人們常說的那樣是件壞事。他們認為一定的壓力是給生活提供動力和目標的關鍵。其他人認為,壓力導致智力減退從而危害健康。據他們看來,與壓力相反,放鬆對保持身心健康是十分必要的。

  Personally, I’m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor performance and ill health.

  就我個人而言,我更贊成第一個觀點。我認為當一個人完全投入到他所追求的職業中時,壓力是在所難免的。
