白色汙染是人們對難降解的塑膠垃圾汙染環境現象的一種形象稱謂。指破損殘留的農用薄膜、塑膠包裝袋沒有被及時收集清理，殘留於耕地中，或四處飄散導致的汙染現象。 廢塑膠大多呈白色，因此造成的環境汙染被稱為“白色汙染”。 造成“白色汙染”的塑膠多為聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚氯乙烯等高分子化合物；2008年，為防治白色汙染，中國頒佈了“限塑令”；採取了禁止使用一次性難降解的塑膠包裝物和強制回收利用兩種措施，防治白色汙染。
