生菜（拉丁學名：Lactuca sativa var. ramosa Hort.），俗名“玻璃菜”，屬菊科萵苣屬，是一種很常見的食用蔬菜。 生菜原產歐洲地中海沿岸，傳入中國的歷史較悠久，東南沿海，特別是大城市近郊、兩廣地區栽培較多。生菜含有大量β胡蘿蔔素、抗氧化物、維生素B1、B6 、維生素E、維生素C，還有大量膳食纖維素和微量元素如鎂、磷、鈣及少量的鐵、銅、鋅。加強蛋白質和脂肪的消化與吸收，改善腸胃的血液迴圈。 生菜的熱量為13卡路里。生菜有炒生菜、生菜包飯、蠔油生菜等做法。蠔油生菜的做法：先把生菜洗乾淨，蒜頭切丁、炒鍋加油，熱油，放蒜頭，爆香蒜頭、蒜頭熱好後，把青菜倒進去、加耗油，翻炒生菜，即可完成。
