講師，高等學校教師的學銜或職務名稱之一。1912年，中華民國臨時政府教育部公佈的《大學令》，開始規定大學在必要時得延聘講師。1927年國民黨政府教育行政委員會公佈的《大學教員資格條例》，正式規定大學教員分教授、副教授、講師、助教四級。中華人民共和國成立後沿用未變。1960年3月5日，國務院頒發的《關於高等學校教師職務名稱及其確定與提升辦法的暫行規定》。
