南京路

南京路是上海開埠後最早建立的一條商業街，東起外灘、西迄延安西路，橫跨靜安、黃浦兩區，全長5.5公里，以西藏中路為界分為東西兩段。 1945年，國民政府從列強手上回收所有租界後將南京路改名南京東路，靜安寺路改名南京西路。故廣義的南京路包括上海十大商業中心中的兩個：南京東路與南京西路——南京東路（包括南京路步行街）主要是平價商業區和旅遊區；而南京西路（包括靜安寺地區）則是中國商鋪租金最高也是全上海最奢華的時尚商業街區，以奢侈品和高階個性消費為主。 南京西路則是今天的上海最頂級的商業街區。老上海南京路的四大百貨公司創亞洲百貨業無數先河：最早在百貨公司使用自動扶梯，最早在百貨公司使用空調系統最早開具收據，最早服務人員著統一制服，最早將百貨公司與其他餐飲 影院、賭場、雜耍場等業態融為一體，傳統與現代的交織為這條百年老街增添了別樣的魅力。 2021年7月23日，商務部印發通知，南京路步行街確認為第二批“全國示範步行街”。
